Is the Recession That Bad?
January 30th, 2009
Everytime I turn on the TV there are news reports about how awaful the state of our economy is. But then I got out an about and see so many people spending money in pubs and restaurants. I mean there are still loads of people going out to eat and drink. To the point where I find it too busy and can’t even get a table straightaway.
Also, there was a news report about all the jobs losses there have been but then they skip over any jobs that have been created by companies expanding. But of course, that doesn’t make such “news.” They only care about getting viewers and I truly beleive that the media is partially to blame for unemployment. They always act as though the glass is half empty rather than half full. I’m not saying they are causing the problem, they just aren’t exactly helping to fan the flames.
