I was watching a TV show at the weekend about the health system in America.  A lot of people in the UK think that America is the land of milk and honey but when you find out about how people aren’t being given basic levels of health care it’s just horrible.  Even people who pay for health insurance aren’t necessarily being given the care they paid for.  Also, because of the way the system is set up drugs in the US costs 6 times more that in Europe and Canada.  That’s just disgusting.

Luckily Obama is trying to get things turned around but before that happens he need to make sure that the health insurance industry can’t, effectively, bride congress.  Only then will he be able to get politicians to vote for what is right rather than because they are being given all sorts of benefits from the health insurance companies.
